In preparing a planning application for the proposed development, a full suite of technical studies is being completed, in addition to highways and transport, flooding and drainage, ecology and heritage. These will include:
Noise – The potential noise impacts from the M1 motorway to the east have been carefully considered in designing the layout and landscape proposals for the new neighbourhood. This is important to ensure that there is no adverse impacts on the amenity of new residents.
Utilities – Existing utilities within the site have been considered as part of the masterplanning process, with existing overhead lines to be grounded.
These studies and other technical reports will demonstrate that there are no significant technical constraints to delivering a high quality, sustainable new neighbourhood at Blood’s Hill, Kirby Muxloe.
