Have your say

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community in Kirby Muxloe and the surrounding area as we prepare our planning application for a landscape-led new neighbourhood of high-quality homes and extensive public open spaces.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midnight on Sunday 19th October 2025 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit our planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Blaby District Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

1. Do you welcome the provision of high-quality, well designed new homes for Kirby Muxloe?

2. The proposals have been shaped by a landscape-led approach, to respect the setting of nearby heritage assets such as Kirby Muxloe castle and Kirby Fields conservation area. Is this important to you?

3. A range of house types is proposed. What is your priority for new homes in the local area?

4. The new neighbourhood will feature extensive green public open spaces on land currently inaccessible to the public. What outdoor recreation facilities would you like to see delivered, if possible?

5. A network of new walking and cycling routes will be created, providing links with the existing local public rights of way network. Do you welcome this?

6. The development will be gas-free, with all new homes built to be low carbon, including air source heat pumps, uprated insulation and EV charging as standard. Is this important to you?

7. The landscape-led approach will see the retention of existing trees and the majority of hedgerows, with extensive new planting significantly increasing tree cover across the site to deliver biodiversity net gain. Is this important to you?

8. Are you, or is someone you know, interested in a new Barratt Redrow or David Wilson Homes home?

9. Do you have any other comments or suggestions?
